Founded in 2003 by James Hutchinson, a seventeen-year veteran of Hawaii’s local elevator community and a leading expert on elevator modernization, Pacific Elevator is a company that specializes in making old elevators new again.

From inception of the elevator modernization project to completion, Pacific Elevator works closely with their clients through each phase of the project. Our objective is to design/install an affordable, comprehensive modernization package that meets the special requirements of each client’s building.

What’s more, Pacific Elevator is Hawaii’s first and only truly-independent elevator company. We are not owned or controlled by any one elevator equipment manufacturer nor are we signatory to any elevator labor union. As a result, we are in the unique position to put our client’s interests first.
